Voluntourism
Volunteer opportunity sponsored by the Legislative Staff Coordinating Committee and NCSL.
Voluntourism mixes the customary elements of travel with giving back to the community. This year, NCSL is teaming up with United Through Reading® Military Program hosted by the USO.
The program helps to connect deployed military parents and adults with the children in their lives by recording service-members reading books aloud and sending them to their children. Select a book from the list and either bring a new copy with you to the Summit and drop it off at the bookstore or purchase it at the NCSL bookstore in the convention center.

Reading Program Helps Families Cope with Deployment
