NCSL’s eight standing committees develop the policy directives and resolutions that guide NCSL’s federal advocacy efforts on a wide range of issues that affect the states. Any legislator may submit a policy statement or resolution for consideration to Molly Ramsdell or Neal Osten, co-directors of the NCSL Washington, D.C., office. Email them by Aug. 1.
The Legislative Summit culminates with the NCSL Business Meeting, where legislators debate and vote on the policy resolutions developed by the standing committees. This important meeting is the framework for the States’ Agenda, which guides NCSL’s advocacy efforts in Washington, D.C., for the coming year.
Registration for the NCSL Legislative Summit is now open. Visit the Registration page to learn more.
