Reporters and news organizations won’t want to miss a moment of the National Conference of State Legislatures' 40th annual Legislative Summit in Minneapolis.

Each summer, NCSL brings thousands of legislators and staff together for the largest and most substantive meeting of its kind in the nation.

The Summit is the perfect opportunity for policymakers to exchange ideas on the most pressing issues facing states today. It gives reporters story ideas, interview opportunities, new contacts and insights into how issues in their states compare nationally.

The Legislative Summit is four days of more than 100 policy sessions on the most pressing issues facing state legislatures. Some of the topics include state budgets, health care, technology issues and education innovation.

For more information, contact NCSL public affairs director Mick Bullock (202-624-3557).

NCSL's meeting is open to credentialed reporters, who can work from the NCSL press room at the Minneapolis Convention Center.
