Legislative Summit Events

Bluegrass, bourbon, the Kentucky Derby.  They’re legendary.  One of a kind.  This summer it’s your turn to be in the winner’s circle at the meeting of champions, the 2010 NCSL Legislative Summit in Louisville, Kentucky, July 25-28.

Voluntourism mixes the customary elements of travel with giving back to the community. This year, NCSL is teaming up with United Through Reading® Military Program hosted by the USO. The program helps to connect deployed military parents and adults with the special children in their lives by recording service-members reading books aloud and sending them to their children. Select a book from the list below and either bring a new copy with you to the Summit and drop it off at the bookstore or purchase it at the NCSL bookstore in the convention center. (Please contribute only those books that are listed on the booklist.) View the book list.
