NCSL members and magazine subscribers can enjoy access to all the articles, columns and information at this website.

Here's a breakdown of how different types of customers can sign in.

NCSL members: state legislators and legislative staff

Subscribers who are not state legislators or legislative staff but have access to some, but not all, of the password-protected information on the NCSL website

  • Help us confirm your subscription to State Legislatures magazine by submitting your subscription ID number from the mailing label of a recent issue. We will find your subscription and immediately email you the username and password NCSL has on file for you. You can change that if you'd like to after you sign in once. Submit your subscription ID number.

Subscribers to State Legislatures magazine who do not have access to any password-protected parts of the NCSL website

  • Help us confirm your subscription by submitting your subscription ID number from the mailing label of a recent issue. We will find your subscription and immediately display the postal address we have on file for you. You must finish creating the user profile by choosing a username and password and giving an email address. We will immediately email you the username and password for your records. Submit your subscription ID number.
