Interviews With Donna Brazile

and Karl Rove

Two highly experienced political veterans addressed an NCSL leadership meeting in December 2011 in San Juan, Puerto Rico. NCSL sat down with Donna Brazile and Karl Rove and asked them about the current political scene and the upcoming elections.

Brazile is a 30-year veteran of Democratic politics. She is an adjunct professor at Georgetown University, a syndicated columnist for United Media, and a columnist for Ms. Magazine and O. She managed Al Gore’s 2000 bid for the White House, making her the first African-American woman to manage a national campaign for president.


Rove is former deputy chief of staff and senior adviser to President George W. Bush. He is a Fox News contributor, a columnist for the Wall Street Journal and author of “Courage and Consequence.” .
