State-Based Election Reports, 2010-2013

Election officials in many states routinely take steps to assess their election administration performance and address voting challenges. These reports, which are often bipartisan or nonpartisan, are an excellent source of state-specific data and practical innovation.Below, NCSL offers a list of recent election administration research from state and local governments. The list includes entries in these three categories:

  • After-Action Reports:  Reports about the administration of a particular election
  • Best Practices:  Innovations for improving election administration
  • Election Process Reviews:  Systematic reviews of election processes
