2013 Professional Development Seminar

RACSS 2013 Professional Development Seminar

Agenda

Colorado CapitolOct. 9-11, 2013  ♦  Denver, Colorado
Research and Committee Staff Section (RACSS)

The 2013 RACSS Professional Development Seminar is a joint meeting with the Legal Services Staff Section (LSSS), Leadership Staff Section and legislative HR staff. Each of the staff sections and the HR group will offer their own separate programs for their members, but all of the groups will share a joint plenary session and some meals. In addition, staff sections that have parallel interests, such as RACSS and LSSS, will hold several joint sessions.

Programs include hiring practices, exemplary staff services, paperless legislatures, effective use of interim sessions, working with new members, and effective communications.  There will also be plenty of time to network with your counterparts from other states and learn about their state legislatures.  You'll come away with renewed enthusiasm and lots of good ideas for your job!
