LSS Professional Development Seminar - Madison, Wisconsin - October 10-12, 2012

More information

LocationNCSL’s Leadership Staff Section (LSS) is meeting in Madison! Join your leadership staff colleagues from across the nation to connect, contribute and collaborate on successful strategies to help you in your legislative staff career. This Professional Development Seminar is designed by legislative staff, for legislative staff, and it happens only once a year— don't miss it!

LSS provides a forum for state legislative employees who work for legislative leaders or party caucuses. The LSS seminar is designed to help attendees share solutions, discuss innovative uses of communication, increase the effectiveness of legislative staff and forge important connections with peers from around the country. The meeting features a blend of classroom experiences, facilitated dialogue, experiential tours and all-important down-time, when staff have the opportunity to build personal and professional connections with their peers.

This year, six staff sections have joined together to create "SuperPDS 2012," a joint meeting in Madison, Wisconsin. Each of the staff sections will hold its regular professional development seminar during SuperPDS week. All of the staff sections will get together for a plenary session, a luncheon, and a reception at the capitol. In addition, staff sections that have parallel interests will hold joint sessions, where appropriate.

The NCSL Staff Sections participating in SuperPDS 2012  in Madison are: the Legal Services Staff Section, Leadership Staff Section, National Association of Legislative Information Technology, Legislative Information and Communications Staff Section, National Legislative Services and Security Association, and Research and Committee Staff Section.
