Annapolis Maryland with State House in backgroundThe National Association of Legislative Information Technology (NALIT) Professional Development Seminar (PDS) brings together state legislative information technology professionals who are interested in advancing the effectiveness and efficiency of state legislatures through technology. The seminar provides a combination of educational sessions, demonstrations and vendor exhibits, and networking opportunities.

The agenda offers a mix of technical, policy and management sessions and provides opportunities to share solutions and discuss innovative uses of technology. Speakers combine the knowledge of industry experts and the experience and expertise of legislative information technology staff. Integral to the seminar is the opportunity to compare experiences in roundtable sessions and small group discussions.

  • Early bird rate for legislative staff (through Aug. 15): $375
  • Post-early bird rate for legislative staff: $400

  • Spouse/guest: $150
  • One day: $175
  • All others-early bird rate (through Aug. 15): $450
  • All others-post early bird rate: $475

Two ways to register:

Register Online
Requires a credit card for everyone except legislators and legislative staff. Confirmations will be sent by email. The deadline to register online is Sept. 1.

Onsite Registration
If you can't make the registration cut-off, onsite registration will be available at the Historic Inns of Annapolis beginning Sept. 12.

Spouse/Guest Registration. The $150 guest fee includes admission to all scheduled meal functions and evening social events.

Cancellations received in the NCSL Denver office by Sept. 11 will be refunded minus a $50 processing fee. Cancellations must be made in writing and faxed to 303-364-7811. Fees cannot be refunded for registrations cancelled after the conference begins.

Each attendee is responsible for making his or her hotel and travel arrangements.If arranging hotel accommodations by phone, please indicate that you are attending the NCSL conference to receive the negotiated rate per night.

Note: Free wifi in your room is included when you book your room through the NCSL room block.

Travel InformationBaltimore/Washington International Airport (BWI) is just 24 miles from Annapolis. The area also is served by Reagan International Airport/Arlington (37 miles from the hotel) and Dulles International Airport (62 miles from the hotel).
