NALIT Professional Development Seminar

More information

Madison, WISuperPDS 2012 - Madison, Wisconsin – October 9-12, 2012
(Information about the 2013 Seminar will be available in Spring 2013)

The NALIT Professional Development Seminar brought together state legislative information technology professionals who are interested in advancing the effectiveness and efficiency of state legislatures through technology. The seminar provides a combination of educational sessions, demonstrations and vendor exhibits, and networking opportunities.

The NALIT seminar agenda offers a mix of technical, policy and management sessions and provides opportunities to share solutions and discuss innovative uses of technology. Speakers combine the knowledge of industry experts and the experience and expertise of legislative information technology staff. Integral to the seminar is the opportunity to compare experiences in roundtable sessions and small group discussions.

In 2012, six staff sections joined together to create "Super PDS 2012," a joint meeting in Madison, Wisconsin. Each of the staff sections will hold its regular professional development seminar during SuperPDS week. All of the staff sections will get together for a plenary session, a luncheon, and a reception at the capitol. In addition, staff sections that have parallel interests will hold joint sessions, where appropriate.

The NCSL Staff Sections that participated in Super PDS 2012  in Madison are: the Legal Services Staff Section, Leadership Staff Section, National Association of Legislative Information Technology, Legislative Information and Communications Staff Section, National Legislative Services and Security Association, and Research and Committee Staff Section.
