More than half the states have applied for American Reinvestment and Recovery Act (ARRA) funds—which will be awarded this winter—for the development of high-speed and intercity passenger rail. This Dec. 15 webinar, hosted by NCSL, featured up-to-date information from federal and state officials on high-speed rail funding opportunities and initiatives. The webinar was also the inaugural meeting of the new NCSL High-Speed Rail Working Group, which provides a forum for state legislators and legislative staff to address high-speed rail issues.
