Food For Learning: Public Private Partnerships in the School Breakfast Program
Thursday, July 12, 2012
4 p.m. ET

Join NCSL's Hunger Partnership for a webinar on implementation of the School Breakfast Program. With changes in recent years, the program has expanded nation-wide and public-private partnerships have emerged to help implement the program. Research shows that students who participate in the program have improved attendance, test scores and decreased behavioral problems. The webinar will cover what schools and public and private partners are doing to provide affordable breakfast to students, and how schools and states can leverage federal dollars to provide healthy breakfasts to children in their community. Listen in to hear how state lawmakers can participate in this effort.

Speakers:

Bill Ludwig, USDA FNS Southwest Regional Office
Ali Dorazio, General Mills
Jason Reed, Hunger Free Minnesota

Moderator:

Sheri Steisel, Director of Human Services Policy, National Conference of State Legislatures
