Preventing Cervical Cancer

Virtually all cervical cancer cases are linked to the human papilloma virus (HPV), a common sexually transmitted disease.  Two vaccines that target the most virulent strains of HPV now are available.  States will have a major role in determining how widely the new vaccine is used.
