"Cities Study Dearth of Healthy Food "

This article from the USA Today examines the lack of markets selling nutritious food in many lower-income urban areas. This, combined with a lack of transportation options for poorer residents, and a preponderance of fast-food and corner stores packed with soda and chips, creates an environment in which eating healthy is often quite difficult. Many cities of varying sizes and demographics are studying the issue or devising programs to aid food insecure residents and create healthier options in these neighborhoods.
