Environmental Databases Overview
NCSL tracks state legislation on energy, environmental health and the environment. These databases cover legislation from the 2009-2013 legislative sessions from the 50 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico. Each database is searchable by keyword, year, state, topic, bill number and status.
The Environment and Energy database tracks climate change, energy efficiency, energy security, fossil energy, green jobs, landfills, nuclear waste, recycling, renewable energy and water. The Environmental Health database tracks legislation related to asthma, children’s environmental health, indoor air quality, pesticides, toxics and chemicals, tracking, surveillance and biomonitoring.
These databases also archive legislation from earlier sessions. The Environmental Health database has a link to bills from the 1998 to 2008 legislative sessions. The Energy and Environment Legislation Tracking Database has a link to archived bills from 2007-2009.
