Mr. Meister discussed Illinois's advanced energy plan and legislation.  Assembleymember Cahill lead a discussion on New York's legislation and comprehensive energy plan.

  Mr. Daniels discussed research being conducted at Argonne National Laboratory on critical energy technologies.


Cleaner Coal Technologies and the Future of Coal

  • Robert Hilton, Alstead                                                        Presentation

  This session discussed cleaner coal technologies, the future of coal, and the important role these advancement play in ensurign that the U.S. has access to reliable and affordable electricity resources.


Energy Planning for Critical Infrastructures

  • Christina Cody, National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners       Presentation

  This session discussed how states and utilities are planning ahead to keep our increasing population powered in the face of threats, as well as the role state policy plays in protecting the electric infrastructure.


Nuclear Energy Planning

This session discussed how utiliteis incorporate nuclear generation into their resource plans and how state plan ahead for nuclear energy production.


U.S. Department of Energy Vision for State Energy Efforts

  • Mike Carr, Department of Energy

This session explored how the department is supporting state efforts to develope a secure, reliable energy supply.
