Housing Policies

Guarantee your room by completing the credit card information section on the housing form or enclosing a check for $190 with the housing form. Reservations will not be made or held unless a guarantee is provided.
Credit Card number is provided as a guarantee only. The Housing Connection/NCSL will not charge the credit card unless the reservation is cancelled and a cancellation fee is incurred. Before your arrival, the hotel may charge your card one night’s room and tax. For reservations cancelled within 72 hours of arrival, the hotel will charge your card one night’s room and tax.
Check should be made to The Housing Connection/NCSL in U.S. dollars and drawn on a U.S. bank. Before your arrival, The Housing Connection/NCSL will forward any check received as a guarantee to the hotel. This will show up on your room statement when you check in at the hotel.

Confirmations: The Housing Connection/NCSL will send you a confirmation by e-mail, fax or mail. Please review all information for accuracy. If you do not receive a confirmation or have questions, please contact The Housing Connection/NCSL at (888) 221-9425. We will make every attempt to confirm housing requests within 72 hours of receiving the reservation. You will not receive a confirmation directly from the hotel.

All reservations, changes and cancellations must be made through The Housing Connection/NCSL through August 1. On or after August 2, please contact the hotel directly.

Cancellations/Changes/Substitutions
Cancellations received on or after June 27 are subject to a $65 cancellation fee. On and after July 11, the cancellation fee is $115. Reservations cancelled within 72 hours of arrival will forfeit the $190 guarantee or will be charged one night’s room and tax. It is considered a cancellation if you release your reservation at one hotel to re-book at another hotel.

No Shows: If you do not arrive at the hotel on the date indicated, you will be considered a "no-show" and will forfeit your $190 guarantee, or your credit card will be charged one night’s room and tax. The hotel may also cancel your room reservation entirely.

Changes: If you need to cancel, change or make a substitution to your housing reservation, please contact The Housing Connection/NCSL directly.
