Agendas and special events are being prepared for the Spring Meeting of the NCSL Executive Committee and the Legislative Staff Coordinating Committee for the meeting in Anchorage, Alaska. Check back often for frequent updates.

Registration

Registration Information Requires a credit card for those who are required to pay a fee. Confirmations will be sent by email. Deadline to register online is Friday, May 23, 2014.

    If you can't make the registration cut-off, onsite registration will be available.

 

Registration Fees

$0 for legislators, legislative staff
$0 for past NCSL presidents and staff chairs
$0 for NCSL Foundation for State Legislatures Platinum, Gold and Silver level sponsors
$0 for first adult guest registered
$100 for each additional guest
$300 for all other attendees

Due to the anticipated size of meeting attendance in Anchorage, a guest registration fee of $100 will be charged for each guest in addition to the first, free registered guest.  The fee will cover the costs associated with the social events on Friday and Saturday.  You will be invoiced for the balance due upon completion of reigstration.

Name badges are required for all events.

Cancellations received in the NCSL Denver office will be refunded minus a $50 processing fee. Cancellations must be made in writing and faxed to 303-364-7811. Fees cannot be refunded for registrations cancelled after the conference begins.

Book your room

Each attendee is responsible for making his or her hotel and travel arrangements. The negotiated group rate is $190.

Hotel reservations must be cancelled 24 hours in advance to avoid penalites.

If arranging hotel accommodations by phone, please indicate that you are attending the NCSL Executive Committee meeting to receive the negotiated rate.

The Captain Cook hotel is SOLD OUT of rooms in the NCSL block for Friday, May 30, and is approaching capacity for Saturday, May 31.  

We are happy to add your name to the Captain Cook waitlist, however, please make reservations elsewhere to ensure you have a place to stay in Anchorage.  We will notify you before May 22 if we are able to accommodate you at the Captain Cook.  To request that your name be added to the waitlist, please email Stacy Householder with your name, your date of arrival and your date of departure.

 The cut-off date for the negotiated rate at the Captain Cook hotel is Tuesday, May 6, 2014.

Travel Information

Travel InformationAnchorage is served by the Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport, which is located less than 10 miles from the Captain Cook Hotel downtown. It is approximately $20 from the airport to the hotel by taxi.

Ground Transportation
From Anchorage Airport: Cabs and shuttle services are available for reasonable fares at most hours of the day or night.  Shuttle service is located outside of the Alaska Airways bagge claim area. Travel time from the airport to the hotel is approximately 15 minutes.
