Senator Debbie Smith is proud to host the first meeting of the 2014-2015 Conference Year in her home state of Nevada. New NCSL officers: Senator Smith, will preside as president, and Peggy Piety, senior staff attorney with the Indiana Legislative Services Agency will serve as staff chair.
There will be an orientation on Sunday for all members of the Executive Committee, which will be of special interest to new members recently elected in Minneapolis. We encourage everyone to make a special effort to be with us in Reno.
The NCSL Executive Committee and the Legislative Staff Coordinating Committee will continue the tradition of participating in the annual Lee Jeans Denim Day, in honor and memory of all those who have battled breast cancer, with proceeds benefitting the American Cancer Society. For Lee National Denim Day our team (NCSL Executive Committee and LSCC), has set a fundraising goal of $800 and we would like your help in reaching it. We invite you to join our team and work with us to help raise money for this important cause. If you wish to join or make a donation before the meeting in Reno, you may visit our team page. Participants are welcome to show their support by wearing denim on Sunday, September 28th.

Pre-registration is now closed. All registrations after Friday, September 19th will be processed onsite. Payment of registration fees requires a credit card for those who are required to pay a fee. Confirmations will be sent by email.

Cancellations received in the NCSL Denver office will be refunded minus a $50 processing fee. Cancellations must be made in writing and faxed to 303-364-7811
Fees cannot be refunded for registrations cancelled after the conference begins.

Each attendee is responsible for making his or her hotel and travel arrangements. The negotiated group rate is $149.00 (single/double), $159.00 (triple) and $169.00 (quad).
Hotel reservations must be cancelled 24 hours in advance to avoid penalites.
If arranging hotel accommodations by phone, please indicate that you are attending the NCSL Executive Committee meeting to receive the negotiated rate.
The Peppermill hotel is currently SOLD OUT for the night of Saturday, September 27th. If you need a reservation for the night of September 27th, please contact Heather Plush or Shannon McNamara to be placed on a wait-list. In the event of cancellations, we will notify you.
Reservations are still available for the nights of September 28th and 29th and can be booked online until Friday, September 12th, or until sold out.
Reno is served by the Reno-Tahoe International Airport, which is located less than 10 miles from the Peppermill Hotel. It is approximately $15 from the airport to the hotel by taxi.

The Peppermill features an easy and convenient airport shuttle which departs from the the airport going to the Peppermill every half-hour beginning at 4:15 am, and continuing to 11:45 pm. This shuttle picks-up at the north exit of the baggage claim area, through the double doors, and to the sign that reads "shuttle"
