Agendas and special events are being prepared for the Winter Meeting of the NCSL Executive Committee, the Legislative Staff Coordinating Committee, certain task forces and working groups.  The At-A-Glance Schedule (in the box to the right) lists the meetings that are taking place.  At this meeting there are no Executive Committee task force meetings being held.   

The Agenda Book will be posted online in PDF format scheduled to be ready by or before January 18th.  Refer to this site for updates and links. 

The Executive Committee Meetings Calendar lists upcoming meetings for the conference year 2013.

REGISTRATION

How to register:

  • Register Online - click here
    Registration online requires a credit card for attendees who pay a registration fee.  Confirmations will be sent by e-mail, and final meeting materials will be available on site.  
  • Onsite Registration
    If you are unable to meet the January 16, 2013 registration deadline, you may register onsite. 

Registration Fees
$0 for legislators, legislative staff
$0 for past NCSL presidents and staff chairs
$0 for NCSL Foundation for State
Legislatures Platinum and Gold level sponsors
$0 for spouse/guest
$300 for all other attendees 

Spouse/Guest Registration
Necessary for badge preparation, but there is no registration fee required.

Cancellations received in the NCSL Denver office by January 21 will be refunded minus a $50 processing fee.

Cancellations must be made in writing and faxed to 303-364-7811. Fees cannot be refunded for registrations cancelled after the meeting begins.

Confirmations will be e-mailed if an address is provided. Letter confirmations will be mailed upon request.

 

HOTEL INFORMATION

A block of rooms has been reserved at:

Room rate: $195 per night (excluding tax).
Each attendee is responsible for making his or her hotel and travel arrangements.

Cancellation Policy at Hotel:  Cancellations must be made at least 72 hours prior to check in to avoid incurring charges.

The cut-off date for the negotiated rate has been extended to Wednesday, January 16th, 2013.

Due to a strict cut-off date, please make your reservation if you intend to participate.  If you decide not to attend, reservations can be cancelled without penalty.

Santa Barbara is served by the Santa Barbara Municipal Airport (SBA).

Hotel Shuttle
The Fess Parker's Hilton Doubletree offers a complimentary airport shuttle.  Guests must call on an individual basis to make arrangements.  If you are interested, please call Guest Services at 805-884-8528.  When booking your shuttle, please mention that you are with the NCSL conference.
 

Driving Directions to Fess Parker's from SBA:101 South to Milpas Exit, turn right.
Right on Calle Puerto Vallarta, entrance is on right.
Distance from Hotel: 11 mi.
Drive Time: 15 min.
