Fiscal Year 2010 Budget Status
Forty-six states began their new fiscal year on July 1, 2009. As the new fiscal year began, 42 states had finalized their budgets. Eight states have had the unenviable task of finalizing budgets after the start of the new fiscal year (Arizona, California, Connecticut, Illinois, Mississippi, North Carolina, Ohio, and Pennsylvania).
